IT Hardware Import & Distribution

Few Brands,
Fully Handled.

We pick hardware for the desk and run it in Korea end to end — certification, customs, channels and the customer who comes after.

About

Built by someone who used the gear first

Moonmang imports and distributes IT hardware in Korea. Our founder spent years in 3D and motion graphics work, where keyboards, mice and monitors were the tools of the trade, and then went on to sell IT peripherals on Korean open markets — writing the product pages and handling the returns that followed.

That is why we would rather carry few brands and make their Korean numbers real. Adding one more name to a list is easy. Watching what actually happens to that brand in Korea is not.

Chosen by someone who uses it쓰는 사람의 눈으로 고른다

We do not judge hardware off a spec sheet. These are things people hold all day at a desk, and we choose them knowing where that difference actually shows up.

Few brands, deep work적게 맡고 깊게 판다

We spend time on the brands we have instead of collecting more. We take on only as many as we can keep watching — channel by channel, price by price, review by review.

We finish what we start맡으면 끝까지 간다

Certification, customs, channel onboarding, customer response — we do not hand it off halfway. The person you first speak to is the person who stays on it.

Vision

In three years, to be able to point at a handful of brands and say we built their Korean business from the first shipment to the last review.

Founder's Note

Jungung Moon, founder of Moonmang

I spent most of my working days at a desk, doing 3D and motion graphics. I learned the hard way that a keyboard which does not fit your hand slows down the whole day, and that is where I first understood why good hardware is worth what it costs.

After that I sold IT peripherals online myself. That is when I found out that listing a product is the short part. Answering questions, processing returns, reading reviews and looking at the price again — that part does not stop.

When I started Moonmang I decided one thing: not to collect brands. I will take on only as many as I can follow all the way through in Korea. If we end up working together, I will tell you up front how far I can go and where I cannot.

Why Us

Why a brand would pick us

01

An operator runs your channel파는 사람이 채널을 맡습니다

We have run IT peripherals on Korean open markets ourselves. The person managing your channel has already lived through how product pages, price, reviews and returns pull on each other.

02

One category: IT hardwareIT기기 한 카테고리만 봅니다

No food, no cosmetics. We handle what sits on a desk — keyboards, mice, monitor accessories and the peripherals around them. The certification requirements and the buyers repeat, so our judgment gets faster.

03

Your contact does not change담당이 바뀌지 않습니다

The person who answers your first email stays with certification, customs, channel work and customer response. You will not be handed to someone new and asked to explain your product again.

04

Korean rules checked first한국 규제를 먼저 확인합니다

Whether a product has a radio, how it is powered and whether it carries a battery all change what Korea requires. We check that before terms are discussed, and tell you what we find.

Korean Compliance

What Korea asks of IT hardware

Two mice can need entirely different paperwork depending on whether they are wired, wireless or carry a battery. These are the items we check before an IT product is brought in.

Radio Conformity (RRA)전파법 적합성평가

Wireless keyboards and mice, Bluetooth devices and anything shipping with a 2.4GHz dongle require conformity assessment from the National Radio Research Agency. We first check whether the module already holds certification.

Electrical Safety (KC)전기용품 KC 안전확인

Adapters, chargers and other mains-powered components are checked against Korea's electrical appliance safety rules, and taken through safety confirmation where required.

Built-in Batteries배터리 내장 제품

Products with lithium cells can fall under separate safety requirements and shipping rules, so we review cell specifications and test reports in advance.

Korean Labelling한글 표시사항

Importer, country of manufacture, model name and certification numbers must appear in Korean on the product and packaging. We propose a layout that does not fight your packaging design.

Customs & Duties수입 통관·관세

Duty follows HS classification, and where a trade agreement applies we check whether a certificate of origin can bring a preferential rate.

Recycling Obligation (EPR)전기·전자제품 재활용(EPR)

Depending on the product type, take-back and recycling obligations for waste electrical goods may apply. We check whether they do.

The list above is an overview. What actually applies, and what it costs, depends on the specification and the bill of materials — we confirm it product by product once we have your spec sheet.

Brands

What we have actually run

We do not publish the brand names. Listing brands we have no agreement with can mislead the ones we are talking to, and using their marks needs their consent. What we did, and how much of it, is written out instead.

Channels

Where IT hardware sells in Korea

IT hardware in Korea moves through four kinds of retail: open marketplaces, electronics specialists, department stores and hypermarkets. Which one fits depends on the price point and the positioning, so we decide it brand by brand.
